- To comply with legal obligations and government requests, or as needed for auditing and compliance purposes;
- To counter fraud or illegal activities, to defend our rights or those of our business partners or users, or in cases related to legal proceedings affecting Viewjoo;
- With your consent or as otherwise required or permitted by law.
We request that our business partners adopt and display their privacy policies. Nevertheless, as stated above, although we may provide your personal data to our business partners for the aforementioned purposes, subsequent use and processing of your personal data provided through Viewjoo by our business partners are outside our control and are covered by their respective privacy policies.
Collections of Information
We store your personal information:

Android App Permissions Required to Use Different Features in Our App
We require the below permissions to be used in the android app to get a better experience and to use all the features in the app.
- Account Identity & Contacts: We use it to let you connect with a Facebook account. It enables you to see which of your friends have liked or checked in at a certain merchant outlet.
- Location: To provide location-specific functionality, like restaurants or outlets near you.
- SMS: We need to send and receive SMS permissions so we can read your SMS and auto-populate the one-time password received on your mobile number for payment authentication during transactions.
- Call Phone: We require access to make phone calls through the app. You can call restaurants, spa/salon outlets, etc., directly through the app.
- Phone State: This permission is used to detect your Android ID, which we use to uniquely identify every user and map user-related activities. Using these details, we also prevent any transaction-related fraud.
- Storage: This permission enables local caching of data on your device to speed up and improve your browsing experience. We do not store any confidential data as part of this permission.
- Vibrate: This permission is used to alert you to an incoming notification.
- Geo-Services: This permission is used to notify you that you have entered a city hotspot, where various merchant outlets are offering deals.
- Maps: This permission is used to show you the exact location of merchant outlets on a Google map; it also helps you navigate and assess the distance from your current location.
- Boot-Complete: If your phone restarts, we use this permission to detect whether you have entered a location hotspot in the meantime, so we can trigger a notification informing you of it, along with deals in the area.
- Network: To connect to the Internet and networks in proximity of the User for the App to function.
- Install Shortcut: The Viewjoo App shortcut is automatically created by the User upon installation.
- Wake Lock for Background Works: In case of multiple background services, your Device shall require these background works from time to time.
iOS App Permissions Required To Use Various Features in Our App
In order to have a better experience and to use all features in the app, we need the following permissions to be used in our IOS app:
